Mocha has scared the cats away from the house! So during the day they stay over by the barn and grain elevator. Then at night they prowl around and check the chicken run for left overs! I am slowing getting her to stop chasing them. So come spring the cats will probably be back in the front yard, then the birds will disappear again! Vicious circle!

No kidding! She looks content! Thunder will get ahold of anything laying around the house that resembles a blanket. Towels, sheets that are hanging off the bed too much, pillows, just anything and drag it to his bed and make his little nest! Last night I was watching him try to straighten out one of his blankets and it was so cute. He was struggling, so I had Destiny help him. She reached down for it and he started growling! She arranged it like she thought he would like it and sat back down. He layed down and just glared at her for a few minutes afterwards.

It was very entertaining after a long day!

Hey everyone

I have read everyone's posts and am now caught up!
Chickenchick- I just LOVED those cute little hearts. Never thought of doing that with leftovers for the wild birds. My chickens get everything but I try to throw some corn out where the chickens can't get it. Your frost pics were amazing too. I have never seen frost that thick befor.

Sonew- I have never heard of a winter festival. That sounds really cool. Can't wait for the pictures!

Charmed- Awesome on the new pump!

Michelle- Really hate to hear that about Luke.

I hope they get it all this time and he can start healing.

I think I am caught up with everything now! Sorry if I missed anyone. I have been gone most of the day and it is a good thing. I have been in a mood since yesterday. I am still trying to adjust to the new BC pills the doc. put me on and it has my hormones going crazy. I got home yesterday and my poor DH could do nothing right so I left and drove 30 mins. to the next town and bought some badly needed new shoes and was hoping my little shopping trip would make me feel better but it didn't. Should have seen me watching a drama last night. There were tissues everywhere by the time it was over! LOL
This morning I gave my Dh a warning to not take anything I said seriously and I would try not to be mean. After he replaced a few frozen and busted pipes and I was able to get a shower we decided to go back to the same town and mall where I got my shoes so he could get some like them. He really liked mine. Just plain leather Reebok classic. I figured if we are going to go all that way again might as well have his hearing aids adjusted so his doc. said he would fit him in. He only drives down here from Memphis on Wednesdays so that worked out perfect!
We had a good time in the mall. This was the first time my 2yo had been in there since he was 3 months old. He kept wanting to run away from us and that scared me. We bribed him with getting to ride on the little coin operated plastic animal thingys. We went to different stores and looked at all of their shoes and after all that Dh decided he really didn't need any after all.

I still enjoyed myself and Isaac loved getting on the plastic animals and going around in circles lol.
I thought Isaac would enjoy going to the pet store and seeing all the animals but when we got there he just wanted to put his hands in the aquariums and talk about the wa! (water)
We went to Tractor supply after that and walked around till my feet hurt then to Dairy Queen( an ice cream and burger kind of place). By the time we got home I noticed I was out of my mood! Not sure if I just walked it off or if it was the stop at DQ. I always love going there. I am like a little kid in there.

Oh I forgot to mention (like my last post wasn't long enough lol).
I was laying in bed unable to sleep the other night, like most nights, and started thinking bout all the different threads I keep up with on BYC and started wondering who it was I felt like was missing when I remembered a person that used to be on this thread alot and now she is never on here. I think her name is Rirlover or something like that. We called her RIR. She lives in CA. and only has like 4 rir hens. What ever happend to her?

I LOVE Dairy Queen! We used to have one here in town but it burnt down, now it is a 25 minute drive for us in the next town to get it. But, Believe me, we stop there every chance we get! I could give up all sweets, but don't take away my ice cream!!

I have been wondering about RIR too. It looks like it has been about 3 weeks since her last post. Maybe it is time for us to all send out PMs and see what is going on!!

Good morning to everyone

Michelle do you have any new news on Luke?

They took Luke to a different St. Luke's in the city from the one John was out. All I know is that his white blood count is low and he has some bleeding. I get my info from Colton who gets it from Landon, the younger brother, so that is all I know. I have not even met Luke's Dad to be able to contact him and he doesn't live with his Mom. I know her, but don't know how to contact her either although I think he did go stay with her while he was out for those few days. I am not even sure who is down there with him either. Colton gets out early today so him and another Colten are driving down to see him. Maybe we will know more then. Des and I would have loved to have gone too, but you know how independent teens are! So, after much debate, we let them loose in the city. Hubby even offered for us to go last night (he is as worried as I am). I wouldn't be surprised if we don't make a trip this weekend.

When Destiny and I go to Wal-Mart, we are the same way. Especially if it is with my sister and my mom takes us! We love to turn it into a picture adventure. We try on silly hats and play with all the gadgets and snap dorky pics of each other! We don't make it to a mall very often at all. When we went to the city to see Destiny's BFF Emily before she left for England we went to RenFest and afterwards stopped by Cabela's to browse. It was the 4 of us, Emily and her Mom and John and Carol. The girls had a ball taking crazy pics! They even got John and Carol and Emily's Mom to put on hats and pose with them in one shot. I am not one for shopping unless I need something, so I have to do something to pass the time!
