Got most of our stuff moved.. stayed in the new house sat nite and sunday nite .. camping basically 'cause the appraisal hasn't come back.

As soon as we know we are good to close .. we'll set up house/home.

BTW .. roosters crow when dogs bark, dogs bark when rooster crows .. was a really bad combination saturday nite..

Dogs slept with us last nite .. no barking .. AND no crowing .. "phew" .. thought I was gonna hafta get rid of both my roos..

Happy Monday morning everyone! 42 and cloudy here this morning.

Raymond is home sick today. He has been coming down with something since friday. He came out this morning, pale as a ghost and on fire. So I sent him back to bed.

Michelle and NY congrats on your success. Charmed you quit not to long ago too right? I am so proud of you all. I honestly have never smoked so the closest thing to understanding I know is that Kenny was quitting the first 2 years we were together. He would do great, then something would happen, like Raymonds accident, then he would have "just one", then well just this one pack...... He said sometimes it is still hard, like on the very rare occasion that we are in a bar, like the yearly company dinner. However now that there is no smoking in public places he is glad. Keep up the good work ladies. Raymond came to us on Saturday and said he was worried because his best friend (15) is smoking now. You know all the awful things they teach them in school to scare them away from them, now he is very worried for his friend.

Texas I am SO happy for you. I hope you are able to close soon so you can get settled. Will you post a few more pics when you get moved in

Rir its nice to see you again. Sorry to hear about your kitty. I have a 14 year old one laying on my arm right now making it impossible to type!

Thanks for asking about the babies. I am down to 3 now
barnie.gif
I am not sure why
idunno.gif
These last 3 seem very lively but so did the others. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sorry I missed everyone on Saturday. We had to go to Havre to fix a few things in our rental house. The tenants had been out almost a month and we had procrastinated. It is only 2 hours away but it makes for a long day and nothing ever goes right when we are there! We got there and our keys didn't work! So we had to break in. So we get in the back door. There is a glass door between the back door and the kitchen. Someone locked it! We swore we put a non locking knob on that door.
smack.gif
So we spent 20 minutes breaking in , TWICE!! The realtor did the inspection and gave me the ok to send them $850 (all but $100) of their deposit. The $100 to be sent as soon as the ground thawed so they could pick up dog poop. I got there knowing I had to clean the oven, but
ep.gif
The house had brand new carpet and fresh paint throughout the entire home just days before these people moved in. They did have the carpets cleaned but the walls were filthy, mirrors, light switches, sinks, tubs, ..... I could have cleaned for days straight. I cleaned the house before they moved in so I know it was clean to start with. The glass microwave plate was missing, there were huge black stains on the banister, the door knob had been shoved through the wall. SO I am keeping there measly $100! Sorry, just a little bitter about that. So that was my Saturday!

Last night we watched Blind Side. LOVED it!!!!!!

Anyone else seen it?

Morning!

It hasn't gone well for me so far. Start with Saturday, my van started acting up again going to Chillicothe to pick up Destiny. I pulled it in the driveway, took my stuff out of it and told Hubby to park it on death row and I will drive his truck until mine is road ready.
somad.gif
Colton informs me that he needs to drive the truck to work on it for a few days, so I tell him he can just take me back and forth to work. (he has a 5 speed, so I can't drive his car) Hubby tells me to drive his coveted car, I decline. He tells me again this morning to just take it. So, we get in and as we are driving out of the driveway Des says "Well, this should be fun!" Hubby's car is a little black Sunfire that has some get up and go! We stop, like normal, to get our morning drinks and hear a noise, a loud hissing. Is that us? Sure sounds like it, but let's drive it the few blocks to work and see if it is still doing it. Yep, it sure is!

Hubby tells me to drive it to the tire place. Strange part is, the tire still looks fully inflated when we get there and is still hissing like I really angered it! Hubby points out to me that they are low tires so won't look low like mine would and that the sidewall has a crack in it about 4-5 inches long.

Long story short, I have cost us $300 and tore up 2 vehicles in 2 days. Perhaps I should get a bicycle!

chickenchick--Sorry to hear about your babies! Do you have any idea what is happening to them? I am also sorry to hear Raymond is sick. I hope he gets to feeling better soon.

We saw The Blind Side in the theater and loved it! I also bought it yesterday and we watched it again last night.

RIR--Hope you kitty is doing well. Just give her lots of love!

charmed--Are you ready for this beautiful weather?

NY--How are you holding out?

texasgal--I am so glad you are starting to move in! Give everyone time, they will need to settle in too!!

Oh Michelle

You are having a crappy time of it, aren't you!? I am so sorry. I will send good luck and happy vibes your way today. Hey at least you have a chauffeur for now
ya.gif
Thats a great kid you have there, well they both are. I will tell Raymond you sent Get Well wishes.

I have no idea what is going on with the babies. I have read all I can read on the Guinea threads to learn what I can. The one thing did say to keep them at 95 or they will die , but at 95 they chirp and run around and act distressed . At 85-88 they eat, drink and act normal. Do you have any ideas?

We are definitely going to buy Blind Side too! Such a wonderful movie. I loved the spunk that Mom had! She was awesome!

Oh and I can't drive a 5 speed either!

I hope your day gets better SOON!

Look what Kenny found while hauling water yesterday! We considered keeping her, but she kept us up all night, so , we shall see! She is a doll though. We posted an ad on CL but we are assuming someone dumped her. She needs vet attention her eye has an awful abscess in the corner of it. I have to take Rocky to the vet in the morning anyway.

Here is a new one of Rocky and Cash.

I am just aggravated because that money could be spent to get new tires for the truck so I can be driving it! I just went and picked up the car and hope the day goes without further incident! $188 for 2 tires. Geesh! It also aggravates me because this is the first time I have driven the car (except for home once) and the tire craps out on me and not hubby! The bright side is that this is a little get up and go car and I think Des and I can have some fun in it!!
woot.gif

I don't know what to tell you about the babies. I never had any problem raising them.
hide.gif
I never monitored the temps much either, just wherever they look comfortable is what I would leave it at. I had to raise the duck light, thought I was going to have roasted duck! The turkeys seem to like the heat a lot more, and I had to put it back down after raising it. so

The Blind Side was one of the better movies I have seen in a long time! And I stayed up way too late last night watching it for the second time. I have the book also, but loaned it to Tonna before I finished reading it. It is an inspirational story for everyone to enjoy, even if they aren't football fans. I remember when he was drafted, it was so emotional live on TV!
