Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Awww, she is adorable!! She reminds me a lot of a dog that wandered to our house years ago. We named him Max. He was matted beyond recognition and looked like crap, but hung around for a few weeks just laying around, so we got him down one afternoon, shaved and bathed him and he was like a little puppy again! We weren't going to keep him either, but it was the first dog that Beethoven would ever even let in the yard, let alone share his doghouse and food with. We had Max for a few years, but he quietly passed away in the dog house one day, Beethoven sitting outside looking like he lost his best friend!

Rocky and Cash look like they have settled in wonderfully!!

Good Morning! Phew! It would seem everyone has had one of those weekends! When I got home Sat, DH informed me we had lost a cow. She was having a calf on the pond dam, rolled down the hill and landed upside down against a tree. She died and the little calf only got a nose and a hoof out. How sad! I didn't go see. She was the mother of the first calf we ever had, Norman. She was a heifer back then and had trouble having her first calf so we had to pull it(hence the name, Norman). The pasture is soooo muddy, we can't get anything back there to pull her out! Then this morning, I go out to let the chickens out and water them. When I come out of the chicken house, I hear Eddie barking at something. I go running to the barn lot and there is Eddie having it out with a coon! I go running over there and scream at Eddie to COME HERE! Of course, he doesn't listen. So I have to go in the lot. I sink up to my KNEES! It is sooo very wet out there. I wade in cow dookie mud over to Eddie and the coon, both who are covered in mud. I am sooo mad at this point!

I grab Eddie by the collar and look at the coon at my feet. He was just looking up at me like, "What happened?" He wasn't real big, probably a jr. I told the coon that this was his lucky day and to get moving. He turned and waddled off. I got back to the house and had to strip on the back porch! I take the jeans I took off and tried to get some of the mud off of Eddie. Get him in the house, throw him in the sink and get him rinsed off. Then I had to get cleaned up. I had my truck warming up outside during all of this! I was getting ready to leave for Dad's when all this started! Whew! Anyway...I'll have to set my trap tonight!

Chickenchick...feed Raymond some chicken soup and keep him tucked in! Cute pooch! What kind of dog is she?
Michelle..sorry you are having auto troubles. They are the worst! I will teach you and chickenchick to drive a clutch!

Colton took me to see my parents yesterday in Milan and then we went on over to Kirksville to do some pricing, shopping and visiting. As he is driving over there he is asking my step dad "Why in the heck didn't you teach her to ever drive a stick shift?" He just laughed and said "I had a hard enough time teaching her to drive an automatic!" Hubby tried to teach me once, but he makes me so nervous that I can't do it. Colton took right to it and when Jason bought his new car, for some reason picked a stick, purchased it (brand new I tell ya) and then called Hubby to teach him to drive it home! I have just never had the patience!

So, we have picked out the new project at Mom's for Memorial weekend. Last year we put on the new roof and remodeled the bathroom and painted the front porch. This year we are putting up an 8x10 shed in the backyard and painting the kitchen and putting up a back splash. And I need to paint the foundation and window sills I didn't get around to last year. So, the kids and I will move in with her for an extended weekend and sis will come off and on. It is also the weekend of reunions over there with things going on, so we will take part in some of that too. Last year was right after I got Bailey so we took her with us and Mom ended up raising her for several weeks for me. This time, I may take Colton. There is a sale this weekend where I got Bella, but hubby told me if I go I am not under any circumstances to bring home a goat!! However, I did get a hesitant approval to pick up a few more ducks and possibly a goose if I just can't contain myself! Colton is going to take down some of my FIL's roosters to get rid of.

charmed--Sounds like you have had a crazy day!! I just think, it can't get any worse, but I know it can!! I am so sorry you lost a cow and calf. That would be so heartbreaking!

We are slowly starting to dry out and the winds later in the week should help quite a bit with that.

Michelle.....I have to perfect way to learn to drive a stick. When things dry out, you will come to my house and we will proceed to have a few drinks.

Then, when we are feeling good, we will go out into the pasture with a clutch and learn you how to drive it! You will be relaxed and out where you can't hurt anything. Your only obstacle will be the ponds! Lol!

In turn, I will bring Hubby's car down and we will hot rod it all over town afterwards!! Seriously, how far are you from Belton? I know I have asked before but I keep forgetting!
