Good! Then catch me up on what all has been going on with you! I miss talking to you!

phew..have a few minutes now...Its been 13 days and no smoking-cheated once-enjoyed it-that was 4-5 days ago ahvent had one since-Im ok for real this time-gained a few pounds is all:) Work is crazy still-worked all weekend in the SNOW and rain planting bulbs and trees-burning old downed branches and such-had a 3 day fire going..LOL I love woodsmoke. SOld some pullets and chicks-made me happy and freed up a small pen-moved coops-cleaned them too-the no smoking thing has me up early and cleaing non stop-Ilove it!! hatched out 9 split lav silkies-9 Blue splash orps and 1 ee this weekend-end of this week I have a 8 turkey eggs going in:) Thank you for twisting my arm MIchelle--LOL most are for a friend I might keep 1 or 2 royal palms and bourbon reds-getting call duck eggs-blue and spalsh cochins and amaracaunas! wow-thats it last and final hatch of the year:) My dog is and A@@ dont know what to do with him hes still peeing all over house--I think now he can smell his scent everywhere and thinks its ok all the time hes kenneled all day with no accidents-Im wondering if I should kennel him at night too-thats when he pees on the couch! I just hate kenneling him because why bother having a dog then right? something has to work or else DH is going to make me get rid of him as much as he loves him:-(

I am so proud of you for your not smoking! (except the one cheat, but not bad at all!) We had a 70 degree weekend and got a lot done outside too, but had it been your weather, I probably would have been propped on the couch watching movies! We have 10 bronze breasted and 5 white turkeys coming in any time now. They were supposed to be here today, but I think there was a delay with the hatchery. We are also getting 2 black cayugas. We built a pen yesterday to put the pekin and khaki campbell in. They were really stinking up the house, but we still have the other khaki and cayuga in the house until they get a little older. I have the brooders set up for the new babies. I can't imagine 15 turkeys all in the house, so that should be a fun experience! I love my turkey Betsy that lives with the goats. She gets out of the pen and wanders wherever she wants and has gotten to where she will meet me in the driveway and try to jump in the vehicle with me! She also comes to the front door like she wants in the house.

You may need to kennel the dog at night, just let him out when he can be supervised. It was always hard for me to train a dog, but I have had luck when I kennel them when they are left alone. Try it for a while and see how it goes. I would hate for you to have to get rid of him.

We tore down that old church next to us and have been slowly burning all the debris, so I know what you mean about a 3 day fire. We are going on a week, although it hasn't been every night and still a long way to go to get rid of all it. It got cool last night, so we all sat around it and had a good visit.

15 turkeys in the house! peee---yoooooo---hey are you getting the white turkeys as petts? or eating-what kind of white turkeys??? Ill tell yah why as strange as it sounds-my friend is a taxidermist-he asked me to raise 4-5 white white turkeys for him so he could have the wing feathers when they are grown in Nov-ish-I said I dont have room and Id be too attached-but I would see if anyone has them and is processing some so he could buy the whole wings-like 4-5 sets--I know it sounds gross and Im sorry-He asked for toulouse geese too but I cant do that! If you are processing those birds in Fall you can make some extra cash and ship those suckers to me-I dont know what he's willing to pay but he''s not a cheapo person

That sounds like fun! Last night when we got done tilling the garden, my peeps came over and combed through it for grubs and worms. I told hubby they were trying to help him till! Eddie was following along behind him just a digging away. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have gotten my camera to take a picture! We sold all our cows. A friend of ours came and got them yesterday. I left and went to town. I couldn't stand to watch. I know it sounds silly but we've had this bunch for 5 years or so and a couple from babies. DH says they will never be sold and probably die of old age. That is the only thing that makes me feel better. We have alot of fence to fix and we need to fertilize the pasture before we have any more. Oh well.....I shouldn't get attached to live stock. What a nerd I am!! Lol!

He is planning on butchering them, so I will check with him but I don't think he would mind at all to send them your way. I will mention it to him when I get home. Just got a call that it will be next week before they all come in, so maybe we can get the others moved outside and put these fellers in the brooder in the garage and I won't have to worry about them in the house.

As far as the toulouse goose, I have one and if he tries to bite me again, I might be interested.

But seriously, I suppose if something ever happened to it, we could cut off the wings and send them too. Is there anything special you would have to do to them to preserve them or whatever before they would be shipped?

Why did you get rid of them?

Would you believe I gave Thunder a bath all by myself last night? He sat and patiently put on the muzzle and let me pick him up and put him in the tub! He even licked me while I was cleaning him! After he got out he ran around like a puppy. I was so proud of him! He got a whole bed full of treats for it!

Those poor birds! How are they going to get around without any wings!!

Oh honey you are not a nerd. That would bother me too

Do you think you will get some more some time? My Uncle had cows when I lived on his property (in the guest house in Oregon) back in the early 90s. I always though it would be neat to have some. Of course I really have no idea what it takes to raise them, but at one time I knew nothing about chickens!!

Did you get your tomatoes planted for Dad today? Sorry I wasn't here much, I had so much to do! The weather was fantastic. I even burnt last years sunflower stalks in the fire pit. Kenny BBQd some of the sausage we made from our deer. I made some "healthy" mac and cheese out of that Rocco cookbook I told you all about. It was pretty darn good for being "good for you"!!

Michelle how was your shopping? I know you text that you had pretty good luck, but I want details

I would loved to have been there when you saw Bailey running up to you! I bet you thought you were seeing things
