Tell Raymond I know how he feels!
I knew it was going. The battery light was on yesterday and hubby said it will go out and be okay. I told him the gauge seemed pretty low and he admitted I might need a new alternator soon. I drive to Main Stop this morning, get ready to leave, dead. I call him and he answers "This can't be good. You are calling me at 8". By the time he got there he had already ordered the new part and said he would put it on at noon or after work. He got me up and going and told me to leave it running so I could go somewhere at noon. I do. I go back out to shut it off and it was already dead. Believe it or not, I am still in a good mood. I have learned to roll with the punches and understand that it is a work in progress. We can still put some money in it and still have a good deal. The aggravating part is that he drove it to Chillicothe and back Sunday and Colton drove us all over Sunday night and it decided to be dumb when I am driving it!
Otherwise, I am doing pretty good. I had a quiet evening at home last night watching crime shows and the Golden Girls! Thunder was pooped after his town adventure and snored through most of it. Hubby grilled chicken marinated in Italian dressing for supper. It got down to around 40 last night, so it was a little cool out there. Destiny got rained on a bit during the game, but at least they won. (If you aren't familiar with the Royals, they are BAD! But have a kick A renovated stadium!)
The kitties are doing great! June let me pick up her baby and cuddle it for a short time, but she was a little nervous about it. Momma is enjoying having the extra help with hers. She lets June do most of the work!
Awwwww.....sorry about your truck troubles. You'll get it up and running soon. It's a great looking truck. The hookup you got for Des's Ipod. Will it work for a MP3 player as well. I would love to get that for my truck. DH needs that for his work truck too. Thunder is so cute! What is it about dogs and truck rides? None of my cats jump up and down when a truck ride is mentioned.....
Good Morning Everyone!
Destiny says it will indeed work for a MP3 player, anything with a headphone jack. I will have to ask Hubby exactly what it is called and how much it was. Colton has an ITrip which is different and I know it cost around $50, but I highly doubt they paid anywhere near that for me. I will ask details at lunch. I do know it came from Wal-Mart and could take a pic of it, but that's all I got!
I know what you mean, I have never had a cat anxious about any vehicle ride. They are only good for walking and sleeping on it when it is parked. I think I am going to have a real problem with Thunder and the truck, I think he believes that it is really his taxi service. He always got to go on test drives and probably now thinks he should go every time it leaves the drive! We are also having to work hard on training him to sit in the backseat. He stakes ownership on the front passenger side, unless I am not in, then he is in the driver's seat! He also doesn't like loud music, which doesn't set well with Destiny or I. Yesterday he got the idea that he was going to get up front and bark at the same time because he didn't like the song we were playing. I argued with him and told him "Don't make me stop this truck or you will be in big trouble!" He kept it up, I pulled to a stop sign, put it in park and firmly said "You either sit in your seat and shut up or we aren't going anywhere!" He turned around, sat in his seat and pouted out the window! I also took him to the convenience store. Always a bad idea, but I had to go. I look out, someone has pulled up beside me and Thunder is barking like the guy is robbing me or something. I was so mad when I got back out that I made him sit in the back even though the front was empty. It is just like having an extra kid. He can be a good dog, but I constantly have to work on him!
