Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

It was great! Kenny sent me to the hot tub with a book, while him and Raymond cleaned house

My in-laws came out for supper. Kenny made coconut shrimp, and I helped with the pasta alfredo. We had a nice visit and some cake. His folks left and we ended the evening with a glass of wine in the hot tub. It was a heavenly day

Oh and we watched Shutter Island in the morning. Weird, very weird! We have the Manson Family movie here from Netflix too. Hopefully we can get to that today

I am glad you had a great birthday! I had a pretty quiet day with housework in mind. I assume the snow is long gone or not?

If you think Shutter Island was weird, wait until you read about the Mansons! The scariest part is that you know it really happened!

Did Raymond at least win his game on Saturday?

The snow is gone, for now. I think it is in the forcast for this week. I just finished the Manson book, Helter Skelter. I am anxious to see how they can capture that story in 1 hour and 34 minutes!!

No the poor kids have not won one game yet

I am off to get water with Kenny, be back soon.

We had a fair amount of rain -- enough that the pool is overflowing itself (hmmm best get that sump pump ordered...I think I'll buy it and let Amazon ship it and save myself a trip to Lowes).

We didn't get any hail unless it came while I was asleep. I don't see any damage to plants so we must not have had much if we did.

Today will be one of my two insane days of the week, so I'll be popping in just a bit.

Awww, tell them to hang in there. We have some tough ones coming up. This week is homecoming so it will be crazy around here!

Did you see my signature line? Please vote for Dalton. He is a great kid and has really been shining this season. It would be so wonderful for him to win this!

We got 3 and 1/2 inches overnight. It was a mess yesterday! We had a lot of lightning and thunder, but no damage or hail around here. We didn't sleep very well, the weather radio kept us up all night going off!

ROFL! Dumped all the papers out of three file cabinets yesterday and piled them on a chair. Most of it was STACKED in the drawers, not filed properly. I just found the draft for some sort of paper -- a book report, I think -- that I did in grade school. From the looks of the writing, I must have been in about third grade.

It didn't have the title on it, but it was something about orcas and humpback whales. I am pretty sure I know which book it is. I think it's part of a beloved set of animal books that I have downstairs. (I have some of my childhood books in the basement.)
Where I went to school at that age, we got extra perks if we did book reports each week -- believe me, I did the book reports. I changed types of school programs in fourth grade, so I know the report had to be before that. I don't remember doing many book reports after that, except as what was essentially punishment for being a good student. (Seriously. We had awards at school if we read over a certain number of books in a school year. However, I had a sixth grade teacher who decided that I was reporting too many books on my list. So, he decided that I had to write book reports in order to get the credit, though no one else had to do so. )

Oh, most definitely keeping it, Michelle!

I know there are BOXES full of that type of thing at my grandparent's place. She never threw out a thing that we made, wrote, did, etc. However, I only have a small handful of such things -- so I won't toss those. I've managed to snag a couple of things my husband made as a child, too. He doesn't know I have them or they'd be burned...
