I was thinking about that too. Remind me to pick up dog food while we are out too!

Thanks for reminding me I need cat food! Something is wrong with my brain lately. Yesterday morning I noticed the chicken feeder was empty, went to grab the bag, gone! I am the one who dumped it in the feeder. I then promptly forgot about it! Good thing I was going to town for lunch, picked up 2 bags of C feed. You would think it would have dawned on me, oyea dummy head you emptied the cat food bucket on Monday! Nope!! Well at least I am going to town today

The boys feed the other 2 dogs and wait until they are completely out and then tell me I have to pick some up today!! Thanks for the heads up guys!

I noticed cat food is on sale too, so I will pick up more of that. We never can have too much of that around our house!

Garden Vegetable Soup 0 points....yes, that's right.... 0 points!

Makes 4 1-cup servings

2/3 cup sliced carrot
1/2 cup diced onion
2 garlic cloves minced
3 cups fat-free broth (beef, chicken or vegetable)
1 1/2 cups diced green cabbage
1/2 cup green beans( I'm assuming fresh)
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup diced zucchini

Spray a large saucepan with nonstick cooking spray and heat. Saute the carrot , onion, and garlic over low heat until softened, about 5 mins. Add broth, cabbage, beans, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered about 15 mins or until beans are tender. Stir in the zucchini and heat for 3-4 mins. Serve hot.

This sounds like a good filler to me if you get hungry in between meals. Something to sip on!

There really isn't such a thing as too much ranch dressing on anything! We use it for a lot of stuff. I absolutely love to dip pepperoni pizza in it! I guess that will all have to stop!

Here we go again girls....someone used the "c" word!

thats my girl the good rich ranch dressing I put on everything

I seem to be the only one around here that feeds any of the pets (husband and kid included!! ) so it is ALL my fault when we run out. The thing I don't get is Raymond takes his pills twice a day, he does not notice until he takes that last pill that he is running out

Are you kidding me!! He can not miss one, simply can NOT! I can't tell you how many rush trips to town to get there before the pharmacy closes. The owner is a friend of my inlaws. He has even taken it home so I can pick it up there, his assistant lives out past us, he has met me at the high way with it! Sheesh!

In order to accurately track "points" values on this plan, it's important that you know your portion sizes.

A 3 oz portion of meat is about the size of a deck of cards.

A large bagel is about the size of a DVD.

A small serving of a side dish like coleslaw is about the size of a computer mouse.

A cup of rice is about the size of a tennis ball.

A potato is about as long as a light bulb.....the regular kind, not the long florescent tubes! Lol!

Thank you for reminding all of us about that. Des and I had a "discussion" about portion size yesterday.

I'm just going through my books and typing up what I can while dad is asleep.
I think he's gonna sleep til noon today! I hear him breathing in there so at least I know he's alive! I have to check on him every now and then to make sure he's ok when he sleeps this late!

Cleaning house like a woman who is possessed...

Chimney sweep this afternoon & out of state company coming tomorrow. Plus out of state company next weekend. Then another batch shortly after that.

In the next 21 days, I have THREE different sets of company coming for a total of at least 11 days. Eeeeeek.

(Blech. Just had a Button Quail escape a pen while cleaning it. Of course it was a female. Of course it flew around the garage and bashed itself into a wall -- an entire double garage to fly in and it has to fly into the wall. I'm hoping it's just stunned and will recover but I'm not getting my hopes up. At first it couldn't even stand up and walk properly. It can move about now but it is awfully still and feathers are poofed out which is not a good sign. )
