So, earlier today I was pumping out some more water from the pool. I'm getting down to the last mucky cruddy section and the pump quit pulling. I figured it was clogging with the soupy green algae water. So, I let the water settle and went out a couple hours later. Pull out the pump from the water and there was a big FROG caught in the sump pump. It had sucked his leg right up into the pump. Poor thing was still alive. Went in and got rubber gloves and pulled it out as gently as I could, but it was so badly hurt I knew it wouldn't live. However, this morning, a good sized garter snake had also entered the pool area. So, I let the frog go in his area thinking it might as well serve as a meal IF the garter snake could handle it. (Awfully big frog...)

Here's what is going on now:

Not sure that snake is going to have an easy time with that meal. Then, of course, at some point I'm going to have to get the SNAKE out of the pool too because it won't be able to get out on it's own. Urgh.

There are still about a dozen frogs. So, I have to figure out a way to put a screen over the bottom of the pump so this doesn't happen again...

Off to get a chick feeder and some more dog food shortly...

I would think a texting plan would be a whole lot cheaper! We started out with X amount of texts a month when it was just hubby, Des and I using it. I can't remember for sure, but I was thinking 400. I was also thinking that should be more than enough. Wrong. One wonderful boyfriend later and the bill went through the roof! We went to unlimited after that!

Oh they are! They will tell me sometimes. Especially my 2 knuckle headed nephews. They are 13 and 14 so you can imagine just how uncool I am to them right now.
