Good Morning! How is the prep for the novel coming along? Sounds like you have already done way more thinking on it than I have!

Maybe even a little too much. XD

Miss Des: I'm fine, mentally preparing for... English... *shudder*

Then you know the color I am talking about! It is hard to find just the right shade. I don't want anything too maroon or with a pink look to it.

Our Directv is so clear it almost hurt our eyes when it first came on. I didn't realize how bad the reception from Dish was until this was installed! I would have stayed with Dish, but I am not giving up my Fox stations if they can't play nice with each other. I am not getting caught up in that fight.

We just got Direct yesterday, so time will tell if it works or not.

I didn't really ask hubby about the red. I think we will just do it!

What is it with men and color? I had to paint my whole house white!! The only room I got to put any color in was the kitchen and it's kind of a butter yellow. I say just paint it first and then ask if they like the color!

Exactly! My walls were mostly white too because of him. He finally painted the living room with colors left over from the bedroom mixed but it is just a very light tan. Better than nothing, but he loves it.

Yes, just buy it, put it on the walls, but I disagree with even asking him if he likes it afterward. Then again, even if he didn't like it, I can't see him redoing it either. The paint isn't what I worry about anyway. It is this wall stuff. He asks my opinion and then going to do what he wants anyway. Soooo, I will let him do his thing and then I will paint it how I want and figure out how to work with what he gives me. Either that or fight the whole time.

Yellow is the one color I am not allowed to paint!! Although I have always wanted a yellow kitchen. I am thinking a dark red for our LR/kitchen space too

However I saw a deep rich purple in a waiting room at the hospital I really liked, but I am not sure if I want that much space purple?

My trip to town was short and sweet, got my checks deposited, my cookies mailed and my junk dumped off at the second hand store. I bought myself a "work" t shirt it says Thank God for Country boys AND its John Deere Green

When I got home my MIL was waiting in my house for me. I guess that explains why she wasnt home when I called her while i was in town.

John Deere clothing.

The only thing Des and I bought at the festival on Saturday (saw lots of things we would have loved to have) was John Deere green nail polish! We have been looking for the perfect shade for a long time and I think we finally got it! It was only $2 a bottle! Bonus is that it is almost identical to my HS color so we can wear it to the football game we are going to in a few weeks!

We found a melon and a light turquoise color palette that we really really liked yesterday. (is that the correct way to describe them Des?) But, that is the big question if you go with something like that or the deep purple or whatever, how long before I get tired of it?

We are already starting our list of stuff to take Saturday. If it isn't pouring rain, we are both going to go full face paint for the game!

When I painted one wall in our living room orange, yes orange! (Grandmas pumpkin pie to be exact

) my FIL asked the same thing. "how long before you get tired of that?" Well I am tired of it!! It has been there going on 3 years, and really thats ok with me. Mt LR/kitchen are one open space that goes in to the hallway on one end and the back entry way on the other. The orange was just the main wall in the lR. The rest I left the off white trailer house vinyl stuff. So when I repaint the orange I decided to paint the whole space. But like oyu were talking with accents I though maybe I would paint the area underneath the top cabinets a complimentary shade.
