It's Funny that Michelle called me creative because I think I am just the opposite! I just seem to have forgotten to grow up!! I insist on the family decorating Easter eggs too!

The Pepper Pumpkins were not my idea either it came form here...

Girls....girls.... calm down. There is nothing to making pumpkin butter. The recipe I use I got from here. It might be in the BYC cookbook. I will have to find it when I get home if it's not. Pumpkin butter is just like apple butter. You make it in the crockpot and it's the same consistancy as apple butter. I will see if I can find it here.

Ooo! Really. I am going to look in my BYC cookbook!

I don't see it in there

Ok... Here is a link for one recipe for pumpkin butter. I am still looking to see if this is the one I used but you will get the idea anyway.

pumpkin butter

Edited to say...I'm pretty sure this is the recipe I use. I remember the discussion about canning after the recipe. I canned the pumpkin butter but kept it refrigerated until I gave it away. Also advised recipients to keep it in the fridge too.

That's no excuse. They still have pumpkins for sale. I bet Des can find some. You don't have to can it. Just put it in a sterile jar and keep it in the fridge. It won't last very long, trust me! It's wonderful on toast, bisquits, pancakes etc. And it smells divine while it's cooking!
