We are running out of hunting time

Kenny was hoping for an Elk last weekend and that would have taken up all the freezer room we had. So he only had 3 days this week and this coming sunday to deer hunt. He works tomorrow and saturday so those days are shot. Sunday Raymond gets his surprise gift, then we are meeting Kennys folks for a birthday lunch in a nearby town.

I don't know about you but I'm really excited about Raymond getting his car! Wish I had the internet at home! Are you guys planning on doing anything on his birthday? Cake?

are you guys going to take lots of photos?? I want to see the second he sees the car!!!

Not more than 20 minutes after you posted this........ we got one! Kenny had a nice neck shot, really BIG 2 point buck!

Oh my! It has been driving us crazy knowing that it is out there in the shop. I have butterflies in my tummy knowing how close it is

Yes we will have his Bday dinner on wed. He wants Lasagna and chocolate cake, plus we got him a couple DVDs. One is the first season of Big Bang Theory, Des you should come on over and watch with us

Yes we will have his Bday dinner on wed. He wants Lasagna and chocolate cake, plus we got him a couple DVDs. One is the first season of Big Bang Theory, Des you should come on over and watch with us

Des is already bothering me about getting the Big Band Theory on DVD. I am sure she would love to watch it with him! Did you get the car all nice and cleaned for him? It is pretty exciting!

Speaking of chocolate cake, Des and I made a good one last night. After we baked it while it was still warm we put holes in it, poured caramel and chocolate syrup over the top, put it in the fridge to cool. Then we put cool whip on top. It was heavenly!

Tanya, I know around here there are times when deer processors have people drop off dear and not pick them up. maybe if worst comes to worst your processor would have an extra to give away and you just pay for the processing.

Sounds like an exciting weekend for you. I would not be able to sleep being so excited about sunday. Raymond is going to think y'all are the coolest. Maybe it will also give your new member incentive to be on his best behavior that y'all will reward him in some way someday.

I never thought of checking with our old processor, I will remember that. Now that we have this one we atleast won't run out of meat, but are hoping for one more so we have extra for sausage and jerky.

I am SO excited for sunday. I almost want to give it to him today after school! If you are right about the new member we are going to have the whole school wanting to come live with us!!
