Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Done. I called and told her I needed him to take care of some business over the wreck. I said I could wait until 11 for him and to have the note tell him to come by my office. She was very friendly and said she would take care of it and send him to me!

Did you see those gorgeous decorated goose eggs at RenFest? Now those people are serious about their egg decorating!

I use a 60 cc syringe .. holes in both ends of the egg (the one at the big end a little bigger) and then insert needle and GENTLY start filled egg with air..

innards come out the other side..

Better if you do it at room temp ..

I "scramble" the egg inside the shell with the little nail that I poke the bigger hole with ..

walaaaaa!

then flush with water .. and put in microwave for 15 seconds a couple of times.. to dry.

Ohhhh! Good idea! Never thought of that. NOW I might try some quail eggs.

I saw them do ostrich eggs on a tv show. They used a dremel to make the holes on each end.

Someone over on the "get your craft on" thread blew quail eggs, clear coated them, then strung them together for Christmas Tree garland .. it was kinda cute!

I will re-iterate .. GENTLY push air into the eggs ... I exploded my first one ..

Yup! I was going to buy one of the little quail eggs dipped in the resin. I want to use it as a bookmark. Never did buy one, though. If only I could figure out what they are dipped in and how they are made I'd consider making them for gifts myself!

I need a few brownie points, he just doesn't appreciate me as much as he should at times. But, I think he is coming around. I did climb in the truck with him the other afternoon so he could drive me around bumpy fields and look at a bunch of dead trees that he wants to cut down. I sat there very interested in what he was saying, all the while my tea is literally splashing out of my cup and into my lap. I thought it was a good bonding time.

how neat is that -- i bet button quail eggs would be real pretty -- but blowing those out -- one good puff and they would shoot across the room.

i will let you know when i take on this task.

The button quail eggs would be pretty hard to do. Their shells are pretty thin.

Talked to the ladies who had eggs at Ren Fair. They order theirs in from somewhere. The small ones they had at Ren Fair were regular quail eggs, of course. They do parakeet eggs, though, too but didn't have any with them.

The eggs they get aren't blown out, though, at least not the quail and parakeet. They order them in from a supplier somewhere. I got the drift that they get them from a supplier somewhere in Asia, perhaps. The eggs are dried or something, not blown out.
