At least you don't have a broody. I have been visioning being out in the blowing snow with ice covering the ground trying to catch little baby ducks to bring in, having them under the Christmas tree and raising them in the house until spring when they will probably be old enough to lay their own eggs!

It is really stressing me out just thinking about it. Really.

But I am really sorry to hear about your planned hatch!

aww its ok thank you!!! As far as your broody can you put her in your basement with a baby pool with a rubber mat under it for them? She can keep all her babies warm under the worst conditions! But I do like the idea of them being under the Xmas tree LOL

Oh and Bladder night is called "breaking the seal night" here:)

Nope, no basement and I highly doubt hubby will share the garage the whole winter with a bunch of ducks! I keep telling myself to take a deep breath and worry about it when the time comes. I think I have about 2 more weeks to wait.

Once they are fully feathered they are fine to go in barn. If they stay in garage for a few weeks Dh will just have to suffer. This way they get aclimated to the wether temps without actually being in them -it hardens them up so it wont be such a shock when they do go outside LOL...

That's the story of my weekend if I am lucky at all!! Make sure you periodically fart and/or burp to top it off!

*I substitute my snuggie for a housecoat and I don't use curlers or eat bon bons, but you get the picture!*

I remember the pics of your snuggie last year

I want a leapard print one from Santa. Will you tell him for me?

Hrummmm (clears throat) I will not be rocking 16 year old Raymond to sleep. Tell him his Aunt Michelle is weird but I am the cool Aunt. We will take his new car out and I will teach him how to do donuts!
