You sound like me! My Aunt asked me what color my kitchen theme is. Hello? What? I don't know! The only theme I have is chickens and functionality! Ok she says, what color are your dish towels? All colors! They are just dish towels!! Ok what color are your dishes then? Well Kennys were black and some were black and white, mine were blue and I have some chicken patterned ones I got at a second hand store, so I guess we have a few of each set left to make a whole one

She finally gave up and I am not sure why she was even asking

My SIL on the other hand , everything, has to match. I do mean everything! Towels, go with the paint that go with the dishes that go with the living room rug that go with the ........

Your kitchen sounds like mine. I want to go with the John Deere theme, but I don't want to replace everything. I love my mismatched everything! If I pick up something new, it might be JD, but otherwise, I am keeping it. When we were putting things back in the cabinets, hubby was holding stuff up to see if I wanted to keep or not. He would say "we only have 3 of these..." and on and on. I finally said "If you are looking for a set of something, you are going to have to go out and buy it or we will be using paper and plastic!" We kept pretty much everything for now.

My brother has been drinking beer over ice for years. Then, this summer DH started doing it! I can drink a beer in the morning but it has to have some spicy V-8 in it! When we use to camp, that was a given for breakfast by the campfire!!

Roz... DD doesn't drink at all but has said that Woodchuck is the only thing that she thinks tastes good!

I have a double set of Corelle - the lighthouse pattern. I also found another pretty blue & white set at an estate sale that I really like. Parts of both sets are in the cupboard, along with a few other pieces of Corelle that I like. The rest are in the basement in a Rubbermaid. I can't exactly have 3.5 or so sets of Correlle in the cupboard, along with the assortment of coffee cups, now can I?

If you can see my kitchen theme, it's Correlle. I have several sets of drinking glasses, too. None of them match ANY of my dish sets. I just like them in their own right. (All are from yard sales or estate sales.)

Theme? Huh? If you want a theme go to a restaurant. You can choose Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek...I'll help you look! If you come to my house and want a theme...keep dreamin' baby.

My living room actually does have a theme. Kind of. Antique books & a sort of anthropology / travel theme. Nature things like shells, wood carvings, wooden masks, rain sticks, elephants....

Mine is a "staged" theme (hey, it's the only acronym I could come up with)

Swap meet, thrift shops, auctions, garage stales, estate sales, and dumpsters/discards...

i love to see a table with all types of dishes on it. If i could yard sale and thrift shop more, or when i start, i plan to start picking up Christmas dishes and glasses and have a mix of kinds at my table.

When I was married to Raymonds Dad we had the correlle ivy themed, everything. He kept it, cuz every single guy needs a matching t pot and water glass
