I get the translations but it's really hard to get the application. Speed is the same.
Like, I knew for the longest time that 40km is 20ish miles... but when you're going that speed it's really hard to figure out. Like what IS 40km exactly? Is it fast? Slow? It's 20 miles but.. again.. fast or slow here?
Or when I'd see 23c I'd know it was around 75F but I'd still not know if that was a cold or warm temperature. So figuring out how to set my aircon my first year was quite difficult. I knew the translation, but not the application.
Like we go 110km/ph on the highway here. In America-brain that's an EPIC speed. But it's not, really.
we really need a scrambled eggs/brains smilie, lol. It's all confusing to me. All I can say is better you than me, lol. Gotta go for a bit and get super goin an stuff. I know there are a few who won't be on this weekend so Happy Weekend to everyone!

So.. let's talk about weight.... 2.2lb = 1 kg. Here's what messed me up the most: What's a serving of meat? I'm now in kilos and I'm serving two people, how much meat is a lot or a little? 1/4 pound per person is good with sides. Okay what is that.. two people.. half a pound! Oka.. half a pouns is .... about a quarter of a kilo... what is a quarter of a kilo? Crap.. now I need to know THAT too... 250 grams.
.... sorry I had to. hahaha
It did my head in for a good year. Then I got it. Now I am not so sure I can go back.
