I didn't intend for that to come across as mean. I am envious of your and Des energy. I wish I could do something that would give you the time to slow down and take a much needed break. Feel better soon

Still hope you feel better.

You sound like me!!! I still do it but now and again when I'm really stressed and I'm working on blowing a fuse, I sit back and think, "Does this really need done TODAY? What happens, exactly, if I do it tomorrow." And I actually sit and think about the exact ramifications if I do it another day... and I find those ramifications aren't as rough as I originally thought. Like every Tuesday I pick up my CSA box and one Tuesday I was INCREDIBLY ill and I was still setting out to do it (yknow after I got the chook food, went to the bank and all that) and I realized... one more day... meant I just had to call and pick it up in the morning... and that I had to wait one more day to pay a bill...and that I could just use what was on the bottom of the fridge that night (usually a drawer full on a Tuesday) and give that to the chooks. And I was MUCH more relaxed.

Or... go to a planetarium. Feeling insignificant in the universe helps me feel like all that crud I need to do isn't nearly as important as I think it is.

In other words: RELAX.

Oh did I tell you guys... another evacuee came to stay with us (a third) and during the 'are you going to murder my family at night'-esque interview we had with him, he whipped out... CHICKEN COOP PLANS. Framework and EVERYTHING. Layers of plans on making a coop.

I said he could stay with us if he built me a coop.

He moved in within the hour.

(you like how I use flood victims to further my needs? Oh yeah, I'm classy)

Just goes to show all of your hard work pays off.

No kidding!! And it's HUGE too. I'll be able to walk around in it!!

Poor guy though, he does ANYTHING and I'm on him like, "Is this for my chicken coop!?" He'll be on the internet, "Are you looking up plans for my chicken coop?!" He'll be watching TV, "Are you watching for ideas for my chicken coop!?" He's eating dinner, "Are you eating dinner to get strong enough to build my chicken coop?"

Oh yeah, I'm excited.

I understand what you all are saying and I appreciate it. It just sucks when you are sick and life still goes on and expects you to function no matter what! I got quite a bit of housework and running done yesterday, so I plan on lounging as much as possible tonight. I promise to relax and play with the new baby this evening!
