Wyatt's still running a fever. I'm at work, so my mom has him since DH is out of town until tonight. I really hope this goes away soon. Poor thing is miserable and I'm getting there with the lack of sleep.

I

Oh I know what Zpack is... I was referring to the doc trying to give her a steroid!!!

I was on super high dose steroids when I was early preggo with Wyatt (think 60 mg/day for 2 weeks), but I didn't know I was pregnant yet. They even did a blood test that came back negative, but then the pee test was positive 2 days after I finished them up.

Oh well...he turned out fine!

Can everyone update me??! D: Poor girl who has bad timing... and busy busy weekend...

TWO twelve hour shifts - one jerk who totally tried to skip payment by screwing around with me (but it's okay I got him!!) - my legs are CANING. I hurt all over and I'm exhhhaauuuusted from work, but I am happy and going to the bank today.

Was supposed to sit in for my artist but that fell through again. Going out for drinks with a lovely lady tonight to make up for that annoyance. (The artist cancelled 10 minutes before I had to leave!!! what)

5 more chooks in the freezer, also. Killed, gutted, plucked, brined, rested. Yay!

Head going in for a service. (that sounds wrong... referring to an old car head gasket...)

I have these two coupons for my hunny and I for an hour long massage + entire day access to bath house facilities (the Japanese kind!!) that I might turn in this Sunday as a treat.

... hubby and I are planning Greece in June, as well - I asked my artist about it (who made me sign six months with her) and she asked me to extend my trip so I can spend a few days in Paris with her working... gee... should I extend my holiday to get paid to go to France? ....I don't know.... (no I do, HECK YES!)

....so everyone CATCH ME UP!

I'm a few days behind on posts, so I'll have to wait for the update, too.

If you make it to Athens, there is a little shoe shop advertised in all the guide books. It's in them because Jackie Onassis bought sandals there. They still handmake the sandals. I have two pair and LOVE them. (Well, I like one pair better than the other.) Get the rubber soles glued on, though, as they're much more durable.

Make sure you go to the flea market for souvenirs, too. The odd things you'll find there are so much more fun than the stuff sold en masse in the gift shops (and most likely made in China...)

Thanks!! Whenever I travel I HATE tourist traps. I never go where everyone else goes - I always find myself in random alleys and exploring off somewhere even the locals don't know about, hahaha. I'm excellent for that - I will check out that sandal shops as well!! REAL Greek Sandals? HECK YEAH.

I'm also looking forward to nice delicious homegrown olives.... and wine on the beach... and, well... the other stuff that comes with a late honeymoon. :x

Yep, real handmade sandals. I think they may have a few machines in there now, but still low tech & personal attention. The son runs the place now, I think. It would have been his father (dunno about his grandfather) back in the Jackie Onassis days...

Prices are fairly reasonable. I doubt I would have spent over $40 or so a pair that year, probably less.

Ah, they have a web presence now. If you go in, allow some time. They'll personally fit them to your feet. If they have to take them apart and do major changes to make them fit you, then you may need to pick them up the next day. Since you'll get personal attn from the owner, you may have to wait if anyone is ahead of you.
