Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Yep! Love my house once it is clean, just hate getting it to that point!

Cleaning relaxes me. I love just focussing in front of me at something and working on it. I'm a bit obsessive though, I clean the baseboards weekly and under the edges of the sink.

My most relaxing past time is to reorganize my tupperware and alphabetize my spices/cans/garage. I love giving order to things.

Have any of you read the book 'the house that cleans itself'? It's not a normal cleaning book.. it teaches you how to make your house EASIER to clean and how to work where things are and how they go without spending extra and saving yourself HEAPS of time because it's all where it should be/where you didn't think it should be but goes.

Sure, mine is done so I have nothing to do. I'm just sitting here with toothpicks and silver and polish now. Come to the conclusion I need more silver.

But no really, recommend the book! It takes about a month to go through and do everything but it has saved me about 2 hours a day in cleaning.

They have a Kindle version if you have one.

It takes a logical approach too... it has you take photos of your home dirty and review them so you can see where the problem areas are... then it helps you fix them so they never happen to begin with!!!

Oh and my faovurite thing is it doesn't make you throw things away just because you don't use them... instead of asking "When did I last use this?" it asks, "Is this object worth cleaning if I keep it?"

Because I rarely use my heart shaped pans... but it's worth keeping them clean to me so I can make heart shaped cakes for my sweetie on special days.

That sounds like a great book, I'll have to check it out. I used to love cleaning, but now it depresses me due to physical limitations

. Maybe this book could help with that

Just finished reading most of the first chapter. Going to buy it! I don't have a kindle and would prefer to have the real thing anyway. Not liking the whole electronic book thing lol. Anyway, thanks for the book suggestion. Can't wait for it to get here. Of course it might have to wait if it gets here at the same time Ian comes. Will be too tired to care at that point but after about 4 months after he is born I will snap out of it and be feeling like cleaning again. The whole feeding every 2 hours around the clock thing kind of makes you not care about anything else other than when you are finally going to be able to get a shower!
