Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Why wasn't he taken any then.... I've always wondered that people in the US don't have insureance, but I've noticed that overhere we are heading towards the same system. I really hope that you both get well soon!!

We will, gonna drag him in. We'll just have to make payments to the dr, hopefully the dr will be ok with that. If he had one of his sons living with him he would have been able to get medicaid too. Now that we're married neither of us can get it. Medicaid is insurance that the state provides for those below poverty level. It can be hard to understand because in Florida it doesn't matter if you're married, as long as you are disabled or have children. I'm really glad that the kids will be able to keep theirs though. I'll be glad when we have our business going enough to get him and I both insured again, I really worry more about him because he has heart and blood pressure issues.

Have you ever tried those minute clinics in CVS pharmacy? They can give prescriptions for antibiotics and stuff, you don't have to wait and it's around $60 or so. I took my DD when she had an ear infection. Better than waiting for a drs appt.

Wow, I thought my country was going for the worse with insurance. Sometime the US really got me astonished by it's rules and laws. I can't get the US tv canals but do watch lot's of us news and things and sometimes I am so flabbergasted what's possible on difficult things but more what's not possible on the most important things like healthcare and teaching.
Overhere it's almost impossible not to be without insurance, the basis healthcare is for everyone and you can expand the package if you want to...
In my younger days I wanted to live in the US just like my brother, but seeing him struggle and the government letting him down on everything I don't want it anymore...

I love reading what you write, San. You type with a dutch accent! Lol!

We'll probably go to the health dept., I was sitting here thinking about what to do, I think they charge based on income and it should only be 10-20 dollars. He's lucky that he can take the penicillin family of antibiotics, so they shouldn't cost too much. I'm allergic so my antibiotics run about $100. Today has just been one of those days where I just want to go to bed and get a do over, lol.

I'm so glad you joined us too San. I really do like the US, have thought about living other places, partly so I could do genealogy work lol, but after looking at the taxes and stuff for the countries I'd like to live in it just makes more sense to stay here. I enjoy watching BBC news for my world news, it gives you a different idea of how other countries are doing. My husband says I'm a "searcher" because I love studying different religions and cultures

My favorite areas here are the farm areas, and caves over in Missouri, my kids favorite place is the beach in Florida.
I don't think anyone here has had any trouble understanding you, I just hope I don't say anything you can't understand. I tend to use a lot of country slang. I tried learning a few different languages, the only one I am really good at is sign language

Good thing to know if kids are misbehaving at church or family gatherings

That's so neat. Me and all 3 of my kids received our names from a deaf neighbor when we lived down in Florida. I'm not deaf, just hard-of-hearing. One thing I've been doing lately is looking into learning sign language from other countries. Is your Ex-Brother-In_Law also Dutch? Did you know there are 2 sign languages used in the US? One uses: and, the, was, were, etc. and the other leaves em out. Can ya tell I like talking about signing?

Yes he's Dutch also but due to my break up with his brother I lost contact with him. He knows Signs in English, German, French and Dutch, we to have 2 types of SL overhere.
