These are my friends. They raise them and have a display here at the fair so thought I'd share. Yes they are very disturbing......

Well apparently naked necks have a strip of scaleless area that runs down their leg. Dr Keith Bramwell a poultry science reproductive guru friend of mine silted that gene an then kept crossing to increase the gene and this is end result. Naked chickens. Really weird to see this dinosaur that acts so chicken-ish. Another friend of ours took some and hatched and raised them. Obviously a labor intensive task since they have no feathers.

They kept them outside all summer and they did great. In the shade of course. No SPF daily applications.
