Ever find your rooster in your nest box?

My boys take turns in all the nest boxes. They get in there and scratch around, make perfect little indentations for the hens, sit there and warm it up, then get out and the girls get in and lay their eggs. Every single one of my roos is so "hen whipped" it's not even funny.

Yeah, it's pretty pathetic, my hens have to kick our roo out so they can lay, he just sits there. It won't surprise me if one day an egg just pops right out of 'im. When he was a baby we thought he was a girl practicing.

I love roosters. They add so much to the flock. I prayed one of ours would be a roo when we ordered our first time around (my parents made sure we ordered all pullets) but one of the silkies turned out to be a he. Well he is gone but his son has taken his place. I really can't imagine not have a roo now. And my canello has 2 broody breeds in him, and he seems to do it daily now... he is a ladies man in training I guess.

My subdominant roo will, but my other roo will find him at some point then kick him out for being there.
