We have a little black silkie hen named BuckBeak and have been noticing her beard has been soaked with water but the only water in the coop is in a base feeder. today we look in and there she is, laying on her side just hanging out drinking water with her face in the bowl. checked if she was okay and she really wanted to be laying there feet up, not bathing, just there.I was wondering if shes normal or just a funky little hen? has anyone else had a chicken who wanted to lay on her side for no reason? hopefully we can catch her again, and get pictures!
