Ever have a chickenstock in Salisbury MD?

I dont think so, there has been a couple of Meetups at the poultry shows in Harrington, Rising Sun etc, and a couple of just meet to exchange chicks, but no full blown chickenstocks in MD.

There are some swap meet types that occur in VA just outside of portsmouth and other places, that may be just as close for you.

If you want to organize one its sorta like a picnic, but with chickens involved.

Hi Merry Landers! I'm in Baltimore. New to chickens and loving it. I would to raise a white or splash EE/ Ameraucana pullet and a Barred Plymouth Rock pullet from chicks. Do you have any idea how I can get those around here? Thanks so much!

When do you want them?? If you order EE's there is no telling what color what you will get most are usually a brownish base. I have a couple barred rocks, but not laying yet, or seperated. should be laying by spring. How many are you planning to get.

I only want one each. That's the problem. The law in Baltimore is you can have 4 chicken, no roos. I already have 3. I want the two more so they can grow up together, and b/c I like those breeds. I just don't know how to make it happen. I'd want them whenever I can get the two together. I ordered the ones I have from MYpetchicken. The advantage of them is that, even tho they're pricey, you can order as few as 3, and they're pretty reliable sex-ers. I just don't think they'll have my white/splash EE. Otherwise I'd order 3 and get rid of one.

Hey, I use to live near there! Small world, he he.

Dove,

It would be great to have a Maryland Chickenstock! Maybe you can pm all the Free Staters and get an idea of who's interested and what they might be expecting in a Chickenstock and go from there.
