Ever processed someone else's birds?

Just a suggestion, if you plan on letting other customers come to your place to learn, schedule them to come to watch you process your own birds. As far as the condition of the property, I suggest you create a photo album of your work in progress. Keep it near where customers can see it or even show it off proudly before they start forming negative opinions. They'll never give it another thought.

You know, we have pictures of the work in progress. Never thought about displaying it but that's a good idea!!

Let her know when you are processing some of your own birds then she can see how you do it and she can do her own birds. What to do with older chickens is part of having chickens so she might as well get started and do her own. Tell her to bring her camera and her note pad and wear old clothes when she comes to help you do your chickens. Nothing like hands on training. I wouldn't worry about what she thought about the place but just give her an explanation as what to expect. I would worry about any diseases etc. by bringing over all her chickens and her walking all over your place. It doesn't sound like you have much time to process 12 "free" chickens besides that you have no idea how they were fed or kept and how much meat they will have.
