What is the deal with this egg?
looks like tiny dots. its not pine shavings. some type of calcium growth?🤔
Any ideas? First time any of my hens have laid this. They are ISA brown's. 2 years old..Just noticed it on one of my silky eggs. They are in different pens and they all have access to oyster shells.

Maybe the ISA is glitching as she approaches molt?

If they are on "layer" feed.. then maybe they are getting too much calcium in their diet?? Possibly related to individual genetics.
