I noticed that Meyer Hatchery in OH is starting to take orders for hatching eggs of standard size breeds.
    Anyone ever try them?
    What was your experience like?
If you order 12 or more they are 2.85 an egg, shipping included.

No I haven't tried it but my guess is they will be properly gathered and shipped at least. Mostly it is better to buy chicks, because your chances of success are so much greater when taking into account the mechanics of shipping and incubating. It makes sense if you have a school or 4h project and need eggs to hatch for educational purposes, or if for some reason you cannot have chicks shipped.
