What do you think, .......possible?

I just did. I had a silkie hatch 6 easter egger bantams and she still has one silkie baby left and i can hear it peeping today. In fact....she was not even broody......i gave her the eggs and she sat on them and never got up. Now there are 6 babies and the last egg from just this week.

I've heard people say they are good hatchers. As long as you have one that starts sitting. I had a game hen once that loved being a mama and hatched eggs for me.

I have three that go broody every two months. This time I'm having trouble with one though... she's not taking care of them and I've found four dead ones, two others I was there in time and am raising them myself. Other then this one time, absolutely, great broody mothers. Have hatched out over 20 babies since August.

Thank you. She must really trust me. She is very protective of her babies and she GROWLS at anyone who walks into the coop.....except me....I'm family

I have used silkie's and cochin's to hatch for me...both have done a great job. Here is a pic of a cochin with her babies...I did not have any pic of my silkie's with babies. I am going to have to take some...
