Ever wake up feeling disoriented?

Only after a night of heavy drinking

Well, despite the warnings against it I got something to eat and went back to bed.
Feel much more normal now, as if I was ever normal.

I feel that way if I take any kind of night time meds... like Tylenol PM, Nyquil, etc.... I've even woke up standing feeling the walls and trying to find the door? LOL After that episode I stopped taking any "pm" type medicines....

Glad you are feeling better gritsar!

I always wake up confused when I get up early. Only because my alarm scares the crud out of me so I jump and run out of my room and I'm not fully awake untill I'm in the hall. So I stagger and fall everywhere and then realize "woah woah woah. I'm in the hall." and life goes on. lol.

The groggy feeling you have when you initially wake up (the benadryl feeling that makes you want to throw the covers over your head and resume sleeping?) ....it is called 'sleep inertia'.
Lay in bed with your eyes open, it will go away.

Also dehydration!!!! wake up and drink 12 oz of WATER!!!!!

despite the yearning to take a HOT shower to 'wake up' this will worsen it...being 'warm' will cause you to produce 'melatonin' which makes you sleepy...HOT SHOWERS are no doubt AWSOME- but polish it off with a flash of cold water.

However...if you ask me what " i " do...I roll over and continue sleeping in until 10 when my dogs come into the bedroom crossing all for legs whining to go OUT!!!

Oh, and FYI hangovers are also due to 'dehydration!!!!!!!'

and instead of tylenol pm, go to the health food store and buy melatonin---no side effects!!!!

Happens to me all the time.

I set all my clocks to military time, because of my wacky sleeping schedule. I might wake up at 7pm and it's getting dusky out so here I am wondering if it's really 7am and I just slept through the previous day

It's a really strange feeling, like a panic "what if it's really Tuesday morning already and I slept through xyz that I was supposed to do last night?? wonder why nobody called??"
Sometimes I feel like I'm really disoriented to the point that logic doesn't work to convince me that the clock knows what day it is.

Yep this is true. I never get really plastered, so I never get bad hangovers, but even the morning after a little bit of alcohol I wake up and it feels like my eyelids are glued to my eyeballs from the lack of moisture. It definitely dehydrates me.

Nope. I get up about the same every morning.

and then I fix hot tea and all is right with the world. Actually, I do get up in a good mood and try my best to stay that way. I can rarely remember a dream, wish I could . . .they must be very dull if I can't remember them. I do hate the ones where I am falling . . . scares me to death and I wake up in a ball of fear. I hate heights. THOSE of course, I remember!
