Ever wonder what happens to a 6 year old egg?

I think it's too dry now to explode so I'm safe... so I think at least.

That's pretty neat. I would have thought they would just rot after a few weeks, months at most. Six years???

They just dry out as long as no bacteria get's in.

Good question... why do I have a 6 year old egg? I'm crazy? I sure wouldn't eat it.

It might be older than that... I saved it from my first batch of EE girls when they started to lay. The green eggs were so cool. I just had to keep one! I don't have any EE's any more though.

I have some in the fridge that are like 4 and a half years old...the yolk becomes like a glass marble. and there is no white because it's completely dried out.
