My geese go crazy. Why would they do this? We know the time every night by their honking. Does anyone know why this happens?

If you have male and female together it is maybe breeding going on. But geese will make noise if they hear or see predators. Also the like to talk to each other through out the night...

We don't have very much water out there. As in deep enough. Don't they have to have deep enough water to breed? I know I have 3 females and one male buff and telouse. Can't remember if that breed has only one mate. Got two eggs in last two days. But this roudyness has gone on for months at 11 pm sharp. Weird.

Its has to be a predator since my flock also make noise only at night if a predator is near(fox) and they huddle together with all their necks up!
But now and days when we dont have predators and its breeding season they make a lot of noise because the ganders start fighting and all the geese start cheering on.
But since its at a precise time its a predator
