I just got a call from my husband and gas is 5.00 around Grand Rapids Michigan so I just went to fill up here in my town and it's still at 3.99 but the lines to fill up are forming.

We were going to fill up our tank tonight when my husband went into town but we've had nonstop rain for 24 hours and our truck is stuck in the mud... literally. The 4 wheel drive went out on it ... trucks aren't supposed to get stuck!!

Gas prices here (east of Cleveland) just jumped 20 cents in 6 hrs. $3.59 at 11 am, $3.79 now.

I just got an email from a friend who's driving to Mackinaw Island and stopped to fill her gas tank up and a gentlemen came in and said he just came from Jackson and it was $6.

Oh, how I pray is was stretching the truth.

It's reactions like this that cause the price increase...just relax and take it easy for a few days and prices will be back down. Oil dropped to below $100 per barrel for the first time in 6 months today.

We are watching the news now, and they said the gas prices are not because of the prices of oil, but because there is a shortage on gas??
