My husband fell prey to the sweet siren call of TSC chick bins. He adores the look of Bantams (kiddo’s favorite, too!) and here we are.

There’s three I’m fairly certain are Mille Fleur D’uccles and Porcelain D’uccles, possibly 3 OEGB (all chipmunkies!) but these three are a mystery. Clean legs on all 3!

I tried to get pics in good lighting but they’re still quite skittish and I’m not wanting to over-handle them or handle more until they’re a little bigger. So nervous with their size!

First up is this pale yellow baby with black spots. Very feisty! (I’m quickly learning Bantam chicks all are despite their size). I can’t tell comb type but was looking for pics of baby Bantams and I’m not sure I saw any that matched the light yellow with the black spots. 🤔 Feet seem pretty pinkish/orange.

Are black sex link Bantams a thing? This baby reminds me a bit of one! I wasn’t sure if anyone had similar chicks from TSC Bantams and could tell me what it may be!

This baby now has buff colors moreso on its head and haunches, but body seems rather white. It’s got black markings on its wings!

White with black spots is not something I've ever encountered in bantams before as chicks. It's the type of coloring you find in California whites, Austrawhites, and a few others. I'm not sure on that one, other than to say it is probably an old English game or Japanese bantam. Some kind of Easter egger bantam is another possibility.

The black is probably a black old English game.

The other is maybe wheaten OEGB, or black tailed buff Japanese bantam. Or maybe Easter egger.

I think it will be easier to tell when they're older.

Yeah, I couldn’t seem to find matching Bantam chicks. I was leaning easter egger. So new to Bantams!

We’re not fussed about what we have breed-wise so all of those sound really fun. 💙 I had no idea there were so many kinds of OEGBs. I’ll enjoy getting to watch them grow!
