Pigeons like to bathe in water about 2 inches deep. I cut the bottom out of a 45 gallon plastic barrel about 10 inches high with a piece of foam pipe insulation on the rim and two rope handles. Works for me and my flock. With a gallon of water and a teaspoon of Borax (20 mule team) keeps parasites away and my birds spotless.

I got them bathing along with a nest if two eggs. The female is on the nest constantly and when I bring my hand near her she tries to bite me

Good deal Back yard buddy I am happy for you. The eggs should hatch anywhere between 19 & 23 days. They should survive just fine the temperatures are still quite mild and they will be flying in anywhere between 4 to six weeks of age. The ♂ pigeon should sit on the nest in the afternoons In a perfect world and the ♀
the night and morning.

Check out the link to get an idea how fast squabs develop.
