On hot days, my Barred Rocks like a gin&tonic, but the Orpingtons prefer fruity rum drinks with umbrellas in them.

Mine too...... My RIRs like Cape Codders,no lime. The Australorps, nothing but Foster's lager.
Aussies do like their beer don't they? Seriously though, I'd be curious about why the OP is looking for a water substitue & how such a substitute would help with raising a flock. Chickens can, I suppose, drink anything we can drink but water is certainly the best & cheapest thing they can drink.
Some of mine enjoy a cold beer on a hot day. Out of the can, of course.
Ummmm pretty straight forward , can they drink other things. What else can they drink.... Pretty self explanatory lol
LOL, I hear you, I assumed she meant something other then water or besides water. Some times I type to fast and then post, when I go back to look its wrong lol.Well I'm not slow, thanks, but when someone specifically uses the words "instead of water, what else could you give your chickens to drink" that seems to carry certain weird implications to my ear. Like I said, I didn't think the OP was very clear about what they wanted to know, and I prefer to take people's words at face value instead of trying to pretend or assume I know what they are talking about--it's hard to read too much into a quick forum post since some people just phrase things funny...But so far, so further clarification from the OP I guess... I'm still a little curious... Cheers!![]()
