Everyone's coop

Normally I don't have many problems with water, but this year is different. We have had so much rain that the water has no place to go and is sitting on top of the ground. So my pen is muddy. I just put some wood pallets on their pen floor for now. With the constant wet ground there is not much I can do till we get out of this wet weather pattern. Maybe that could work for you.

I can go to the feed stores. They give theirs away.

Great!!
So we'll see the new roof when you take pics of the hills/land around coop?
The roof is the same. I just fixed the holes. Please excuse the back yard. I'm trying to let it grow so I'll have more woods. And please excuse the cars and junk around the yard. The pic is faced toward my neighbors yard. :) and in that one, I was low to the ground. I was trying to show the slant that water runs off of into the coop. Anyway! These are pics of my front, side and back yard. All hills. Not flat spots. :(

This is the best I could do. It's dark outside. :)
Yeah, dark doesn't do it...
....once it's light again, get as far back as possible, like you did with the other pics, frame the shot to show the slope but keep coop at one side of pic.
Hope that makes sense. Hmm... maybe I'll draw a diagram to explain.

So if hill goes up behind coop, you need to dig a trench up there to catch the water coming down the hill and carry it around to the coop.
I hope this very rough sketch below helps you to understand.
Trench needs to go downhill a bit as shown in the top view.
It's kind of a tricky thing to do, even the best pics may not tell us where the trench needs to be and go, you'll have to do it yourself while 'reading' the slope.
Best done while it's actually raining hard enough to catch the water in the trench above coop, then you keep digging, adjusting depth and direction of trench, so the water keeps flowing where you want it to go.

I've had do this on my property, runoff comes down my slightly steep driveway and into the garage, so I dug a trench to carry it away down the slight slope off the side of the garage worked great for years...until it ended up being right in the middle of the chicken run, so more trenching and some underground pipe to carry it away from under the coop.
