I found a pile of feather down at the bottom of our pasture and a second pile by our back porch (where the cats like to hang out)

Dan I have a list of questions from my chicken predator identification key so here they are:
* how many birds were eaten
*time they were taken
*clues but I already have enough

It sounds likes coon :( , is there cat food outside?,

Or I could have been a fox and jumped repeatedly at them until they flew off the it got them, with the pile of feathers it sounds like a fix, foxes don't leaves anything behind, an a coon would have so it probably wasn't a coon, especially because coons eat the had first then will leave the body and come back later

Cats are open killers, they would save some come back later, they wouldn't go back for another one because a muscovy would last them days even weeks.

I think it's a fox, raccoons and cats leave parts behind I had a fox take one of my Roos early this year it left scattered feathers and that was all you could tell he had put up a good fight he had ran all over the yard that or it was a dog but I doubt it because we have a well known fox that lives around us and she's a mom and I saw her not long after he was killed that roo sure was a feisty little stinker and b-e-a-utiful

did you slit the ofxes throat?

( sorry sorry, i have a lot of pint up anger towards foxes
