I'm probably going clean it out just in case it might effect my eggs negatively. I have the feeling it might be from my one egg turner motor that stopped working.Oh weird. Sorry I don’t know anything about incubating

Nah, I'll be good. @MGG, is helpful, & we help each other.Maybe try posting about it in the incubating and hatching eggs section?
Just noticed something strange in my incubator. There's like a yellowish brown residue in the water trough, & I cleaned it before I used it, non of my eggs are leaking.
Should I clean it out tomorrow, or do you think it'll be fine?
I can bring a clean foam carton over, to hold the eggs in to clean it out.
Eek, yeah. That looks bad.Does this look neurological to you? They claim their birds are trained, I don't buy it.

Hm. Is it pinkish colored if you wipe some of it with a napkin? If so, I've seen that before. Just keep wiping it out until the hatch is over or you don't see it anymore. I wouldn't use bleach or any cleaner while the eggs are still incubating though.Just noticed something strange in my incubator. Aw, thanks!Nah, I'll be good. @MGG, is helpful, & we help each other.
I am assuming you are finished with your hatch. I saw another message where you said the egg turner had failed. If their is some residue on the motor of the turner, wipe with paper towel. If there is a residue then it is grease and I would clean with a mild bleach solution.Just noticed something strange in my incubator. It's a brand new incubator being used for the first time.Do you use mild bleach when cleaning out the incubator between hatches? Maybe it's a little mildew residue?
