Evolution of a mystery chick. PIC HEAVY!

OMG she look just like my girl queeny! Queeny's mom is a bantam light brahma and her dad is a white&black EE!
I'll see if I can find a pic. They could be twins!

No kidding? Can't wait to see your photo! It looks like one of her three chicks may turn out to be just like her judging from the photos of both at the same age.

I unfortunatly have no pics of her :( I lost most my pics when I switched phones :( and sadly she was taken by a hawk 2 months ago :hit.

I'm sorry. I hate hearing that. That's the problem with bantams. The hawks love them. Elkie was very fortunate to survive an attack from this guy.

yes I see the numbers can get out of controll, I have been watching this one rooster and his harem of hens.
He is so pretty and the hens are just free range chickens.
I think Im moveing on the next block to the chickens. So I started feeding them.
They alredy have a set rout they go everyday, Right down the side of my yard.
I adopted a hen that chose to lay a nest of eggs in the eve of my house.
So I fixed a shelter over her. She had 3 baby chicks , but now she only has 1. She wont get close enough for another pic.

Just an update on Elkie and her chick. They are doing great, the other hens pay them little to no attention. Louie the rooster stood guard as Elkie took the chick out for her first free range trip yesterday. They didn't go far and stayed under the dense cover of the rhododendrons.
