I caught an animal in a trap and it broke ouut and died under my coop. It really smells in the coop. There's no way to get the animal out. Will my chickens be ok and how long till the smell is gone

Wow I don't envy you or the chickens.

Are you sure you can't get it out? Maybe with a car jack and some jack stands?

Nope, it is a 18ft by 14 ft shed that I converted into my coop. Its got a cement fountatation and its sitting on about 3- 4 feet of crushed rock and stone

it has some woodchuck holes going under it, and the animal broke out of my trap ( conibear ) and died way under

anyone else know

Ewe's smelly!

That's what my wife tells me after I been workin in the yard all day!

Lye, lime, plug the holes all good advice. Even a small animal will take some time and the smell could go on for a couple weeks.

(sniffing my armpits) Well, I dont smell any on me!

Yes I agree with the lime to speed up the compostion, and it will be there for a while.

LOL! I'm taking care of 4 ewe's for the summer. I've seen posts on a lot of things here... but never sheep. I was excited for a few seconds.... till I realized it wasn't about stinky sheep!
