I do believe that is the worse smell ever. Not to mention our bator is in our BEDROOM! ugh.
Thankfully today is sunny and warm and I have every window open! But OMGoodness BLECH! and before you say it yes I had been candeling. I thought last night they looked a bit off but I wasn't sure since I am pretty new to this. Luckily I had them in a seperate part of the bator and in an styrofoam egg carton. I didn't know for sure how far a long they were, They had all developed some but when I bought the mommas the eggs came with and then the mommas decided not to sit when we got them home. They were silkies too! I just went ahead and threw out the rest of them... I think only 1 out of the 9 would have possibly made it. The rest were covered in green goo. uck!
I don't see any goo in the actual bator...should I worry about the duck eggs now??? I have 23 mallards and 4 muscovey duck eggs in there!!
