for doing it for your sons.

It does remind me of a time when my ex came to pick up the kids for a visit. I had a 25ft Jon Almon at the time and she wanted to go out on the ocean as she never had been on open water. I agreed to take her and made sure my current DW was along for the ride. The guys at the marina thought I was nuts for taking the two of them out on a boat ride, but it went smoothly. The only problem is I think she was nervous about the chains and concrete blocks that were loaded in the bilge.

She came for a visit right after a hurricane and the four blocks, chains and rope were used to anchor the boat to prevent capsizing in the high winds. We brought her back safely but with a little joking though.

I would love to meet you but I just checked and it is an hour and forty minutes from Nevada to Purdy. If I was coming alone I would stop for coffee but I'm bringing a dog, 6 chickens, and Granny. Adding any more time to a 14 hour drive would result in my being scolded by my mother.

Opa that is amazing!

My ex had no building abilities but we remained civil and have spent holidays together with new new husband and his girlfriends so or daughter would never have to "choose" a home. Many years later she has admitted how much that meant to her when friends shared about ther parents feuding. The kids notice and soak it in even if they don't say it right then.

WOW! Opa, that is some coop. You are skilled. Thank you for posting the pic. You just gave your son some man training from a man. Good Job. We could use more men like you.
I am on 1/2 pot of coffee, waiting for sunrise so that I can let my 7 out.
for some hunting and pecking time. They have gotten to following me around the yard when I take my morning walkabout. I look behind me and here they are. I feel like the Pied Piper. Not only are the chickens behind me, the dogs are right with them. Ahhhh what a way to start a morning. Thank you Lord for giving me another day.

It certainly is much easier for the kids when exes aren't feuding. My sons will soon all be in their forties, and even at that age feuding parents would be difficult. A big pat on the back to those of you who have put the children first.

I just wanna know, where do I sign up for one of those???

eta: I mean the coop, not the ex-wife and not an ex-husband
