Excessive Amounts of Poop in Barn

If a shovel doesn't fit your hand very well, & you have the room, your best bet would probably be to hire a local guy & his Bobcat, or to rent one & operate it yourself. I wouldn't waste the manure, though, not when you can sell it to suburbanites for their gardens.
I dont mind getting my hands dirty, but i dont think you understand the sheer amount of poop Lol. Im planning on using it for my garden, and ive seen where you can somehow make a big pile of it and chickens can get nutrients from it. Even after that, there will still probably be too much, so ill either sell it or give it to people.

That's fertilizer gold waiting to happen. If it's fairly fresh pile it up with a flat to collect rain. It'll be ready for gardening in no time. If it's old could already be practically topsoil. Do you see shavings or straw in it?
From the section i removed, there was straw all in it, but i dont know if it is like that all through the barn, because where i dug was right next to the feeder.

We just moved to an old farm in Logan, Ohio and the barn has a solid 2 feet of horse crap on the stall portion. I want to know if I should remove it, let it be, or use some other solution. Some of it is wet from rain and snow blowing in. I also dont own any heavy machinery to scoop it out, only a shovel and the bed of a Ranger. I know this isnt directly related to chickens, but I this seems by far the best forum on line I have found for people pretending to be farmers like me. :)

Welcome to Backyard Chickens to bad the horses lived in the filth great you have the property now
Heck of a idea there from @Ruralhideaway see if local Nursery will pick it up or rent a little bobcat clean it out take the rest and learn composting

Also you'd be surprised how fast a horse manure mountain will shrink as it composts down. When I only had a little and stirred regularly it shrank lots. Slower if you don't turn the pile but it still reduces.

We used to have the local FFA from our high school come out and get it while they were learning to sheer our sheep..

Mountain indeed! Do you know how long ago that was last inhabited by horses? If more than say 6 months you should be able to either do the work and sell it or someone should clean it out for free.
