Exchequer Leghorn compared to Appenzeller Spitzhauben

I would like to add one of these birds to my little flock (limited to 8 chickens) in order to have a white egg layer. Could people that are familiar with these breeds give me some general advice on the differences between them? Currently I have a buff orpington, dominique, barred rock, welsummer, easter egger, and a barnevelder.

I don't have exchequered leghorns, I do have Ancona that are similar as well as appenzellar. My Ancona lay fairly well and are fairly curious and outgoing. My appenzellar I forget I have and they don't lay very well. They are more skiddish. So it can depend what you want out of them, whether the look of the bird or better egg production.
