Hi everyone! Hubby & I began our adventure as backyard chicken owners around 7 years ago when we bought our first house. Our Roo died recently and we have decided to add to our flock. We currently have 5 Old English Bantam hens, 1 Frizzle chick (we’re hoping is a Roo), one Mottled/Silkie mix chick, and we are on Lockdown day 19 of incubating 12 Japanese Bantam eggs. We love watching our hens & chicks and it’s so fun how they each have their own unique personalities. We’ve hatched bantam eggs a few times before and it’s so fun watching the process. We are outdoor enthusiasts, and love hiking, camping, fishing. We have a toddler son and another baby boy on the way. We hope to move to the country soon and have a small hobby farm with lots of chickens. We’ve benefited from BYC so much in the last few years and finally decided to join. Excited to be here!
