expected hatch date: June 25th. Anyone have a hatch date close to the 25th?

Mine are supposed to hatch tomorrow or monday. Not sure when. I came home from a vacation to see my silkie sitting on 8 eggs. 2 days later she was taken by a fox and I went out and got an incubator and tried to save them. So I set them on the 6th or so. 6 out of the 8 are good and ready to hatch. 2 EE egg's werent fertile. But now I have 6 barred rock hen/ameraucana roo mix eggs hatching soon!

I am so excited! They are going to be some cute babies.

One of them has pipped!!!

It's just a little one but it's there. I am not sure what the humidity is because I have no way to track it, but right before I locked them down I filled all the trays at the bottom of the incubator do you think that will be enough?

YAY! you should get a humidistat. humidity is just as important as the temperature. The more surfice area you have of water the more humidity you will get. What kind of incubator?
I think you will be okay.

Little buggers can pop out in 10 minutes if they really want to but most take 8-12 hours in my experance and some take 24-36 hours or so . Drives me nuts .. cuase you know it when Im watching and worring they take a whole day or more but when I have to go some where or Im sleeping bam bam bam

The little guy I have zipping on my hatch cam now for instance has been pipped for about 12 hours maybe give or take Im sleep deprived so Im not postive and he has made pretty good progress in just the past 20 minutes or so

well out of 8 eggs i have 5 piped and two more eggs moving so should pip soon. one doesnt look good at all hasent moved since i candled it on friday

i think i lost one late in the incubation.

I have one chukar that's pipping out of 10 eggs right now. Their hatch day was June 23rd, I have a late hatch I see.

ya mine are being really slow to but all of mine are piped and have a little hole i can see the beak though!!

Sooo my broody hen is due today. When I got home this afternoon she had hatched 6 of the 8. One almost gave me a heart attack I thought was dead all that work to get out of the shell and dies. Well not so, she/he was still wet must of just recently hatched and was resting with its legs stretched out. But when he/she heard me popped up on its feet and stared at me. Little bugger. The 7th is pipped so will hopefully get to say welcome in the morning. WOW! I'm so excited (hubby not so much, lol, too bad, I don't listen). I hope everyones hatches are doing well. I can't wait to hear more about everyones hatches. Send pics and I will as well soon.

I've got a pip! Seems like the temp spike didn't bother this one. We will see about the others in the next couple of days. my hatch is suppost to be due tomorrow - keep getting the dates mixed up. So I see I have an early bird . Will keep ya'll updated.
