Expecting Eggs today

Recently my Black minorca layed the first egg two days ago and yesterday my Cuckoo Maran was in the nesting boxes for a hour but nothing came out i thought she was going to lay because she was panty my rooster was also protecting her i think she was practicing for her first egg.Did anyone's pullet practice laying in the nesting boxes and when did she lay after that?

Sure, its quite normal. The other day, my young pullet did exactly that - one hour in the nest, egg song afterwards and nothing to be seen

Next day, round 2 and she laid.

The coop gets very Chaotic around noon that's when im expecting the egg.Also i know this is random but are Cuckoo marans Rare one Website said they are?

Not really, most hatcheries have them.
