I had not seen this website before so I thought I'd post it here. These coops are expensive, but might give a few ideas in construction to folks or be a good choice for someone who doesn't mind spending a bit more. They seem better-made and more secure from predators than most of them and the people who make them say they stand behind them. Opinions?

They look good to me. It’s maddening not to be able to find dimensions, though. And I thought the ventilation was a little less than ideal once the window covers are installed.

Big sale going on now!

I started with one of these coops which my hens lived in for 2 years until I expanded the flock. It's now been disassembled and serves as a brooder/isolation cage and covered feed area. More pricey than most prefabs but the wood is solid and their customer service was good.

That's good to know, I was wondering if this was taht company that keeps changing their name to rip people off.

But good materials do not make up for bad configurations.

The round tops are lovely...but they seem pretty small.
None of the designs are good....
and this puts(pisses) me right off:

When I got my first 6 chickens I shopped and shopped the prefabs, and then nicer places like the one the OP mentions. I couldn't find a coop I thought fit my needs, and was price reasonable for what was offered. I finally found the guy who built my coop in my local area craigslist. Bought 7 years ago - he put it together on my property. 6'x6'x16', coop area is 4'x6' - when all done with everything including his installation and travel, I spent just under $1000

. I need to see if he's still building them - I need another!

The funny thing is I have a now discontinued model that I think is better than the current ones. It's somewhat similar to the one you linked, but they were accurate in saying it held 3 standard chickens max (I had 4 and had to make modifications to fit). It certainly converted nicely into a brooder and isolation cage so at least it didn't go to waste.

How odd....I clicked on 4-5 random coops and they all came back to BYC articles(which are not necessarily 'plans').
