Experience with Meyer Hatchery?

I had great luck with Meyers. I had 1 substitution in that we ordered a White Leghorn ,and b/c of " bad hatches" we got a Splash Blue Andalusian ( skittish but very lovable. ) Ordered 6 and got 7 that all lived. I have heard good things about Cackle Hatchery too.

That's fantastic! All in all, they seem really great I've ordered from them four times and the one that necessitated this post ended up working out once I spoke to a human. I think the problem was that it was their Ultra busy time of year and they weren't as communicative as they probably could have been.

I had mixed results using Meyers, but not sure how much of it was REALLY their fault. I ordered five chicks, 2 each of different colored polish crested and 1 cc legbar.
They sent an email hatch day requesting I call ASAP. Turns out they had none of my polish! We talked and I agreed to tale a refund for one chick and get 3 of a different color polish instead.
My legbar chick was VERY sickly on arrival, and I asked their chat service for advice; they offered a partial refund for her, as I had a LOT of trouble with her, and said if she died I would get a full refund
She didn't die, which I was very grateful for.
Lastly, I suspect one of my polish chicks is a male. I (again) asked chat about it, they said if she does end up as a he, I am probably covered under their sexing guarentee, but only time will tell for sure.

I will probably order from them again. Overall I found them more helpful than not.

I'm glad they helped you with those issues and you got a partial refund on the sick one. I'm especially glad it survived!

They will probably have you send pictures of the one if it ends up being a boy and may have you resend pictures again in a few weeks. That's what they did with me with my black copper Marans which of course was into problem except for the fact that they never stand still long enough to get good pictures. The other ones I wasn't worried about because they were only $3 and $4 chickens and I had ordered 28 in that batch. To only get two boys was pretty miraculous in my opinion.
