1. I have some 4-6 week old chicks that most likely have coccidia. The breeder I purchased them from told me to buy some corid for them. What is the ratio of liquid corid to water that I need to use?

2. All the way home I noticed a stink from them, not poop stink some unusual smell that none have f my chickens have ever had. What could that be and why did they smell so nasty?

3. Will my old chickens catch something from them?

How long have you had the chicks?

Liquid Corid dose is 2 teaspoons per gallon of water and Powdered Corid dose is 1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon of water. Give for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.

Photos of chicks and their poop would be good.

What symptoms are you seeing that you think may be Coccidiosis?

Not sure what the odor can be - could be from being sick if they have Coccidiosis. Were the chicks soiled at all?
Do they have any respiratory symptoms, bubbles in their eyes, facial swelling, lesions or canker inside their beaks?
Crops emptying overnight?

The chicks were soiled, one sneezed all the way home. At this point all but three have died. My old hen has white spots on the edge of her beak and the remaining 3 that I thought were going to make it are now sick to the point of dying. It’s been exactly 3 weeks since I brought them home. One is now sneezing and when she does, clear bubbles come out of one nostril. There’s also some diarrhea. They sit huddled and shivering like they have fever and then comes the open mouth and then death.
How can I prevent the rest of my flock from catching what ever this is??? Is is apparently contagious.

The smell is it still there?

Sounds like you brought home birds with a respiratory disease. Which one I don't know.
If the bad odor is still there, then it's probably infectious Coryza. Symptoms are treated with sulfa antibiotics.
Symptoms of MG are usually treated with Tylan/Tylosin.

Respiratory diseases are contagious, so there's a good chance your existing flock(s) will contract whatever this is. Birds will be carriers even if they recover.

I'm very sorry that you are dealing with this. Sending a bird to your lab would give you a name to what it is, then you can research to see how you want to proceed. Some cull. Some treat symptoms and close their flocks...it's really up to you.
