This spring, we plan to add more chickens to our group. We have 1 black Australorp'mix hen, and 1 Old English Game cock. We enjoy the puppy-like friendship of our hen, but wonder if there will be problems adding another new chick-hen to this pair? I have a supplier nearby, can get BO's, which I'm thinking might be my choice. Should I get pullets, or peeps?
Or simply wait & see if my pair hatch their own young'uns?

I say hatch your own. There is nothing like it!

you could hatch your own or you could add more
if you want a large egg production, get: Buff, White, Black or w/e Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, more Australorps, Comets, Delawares, RIRs, and any cross will be good
if you want something just to look at get: bantams (Japanese, Dutch, ect), Cochins, Silkies, and birds of that nature.
if you want something to be a good mother get a silkie :) or an orpington
